EPS Block
Explore the key specifications of EPS Block for accurate, project-ready material selection.
- Density: 6-40 kg/m3
- Thickness: 200-350 mm
Overview
EPS (expanded polystyrene) is manufactured using beads of foam within a mould. Heat or steam is applied directly to the beads, causing them to expand and fuse together.
Thanks to its lightness, full dimentional stability and high flexibility, it provides ease of application and maximum energy saving in cooling and heating.
When it is used in construction, it provides savings on iron, concrete and moulds by not causing cracks because it does not absorb water out of cement thanks to its close porous polystyrene structure with 98% air and 2% plastic.
EPS blocks also contribute to earthquake safety without placing additional load on buildings
